Fabulous Adult Classes

19 May

We have so much fun in our adult class!! This week we had a memory quilt finish!!

Yay!!! This student had not used a sewing machine before and in two months time she mastered the machine and made a fantastic quilt for her son!

Lots of other projects being worked on!

Cutting strips of fabric for another memory quilt. Using a rotary cutter is so much fun!

And hand sewing the hem on a dress. Many different things happening!! Join us for our next class! Contact us for availability.

Monday Funday

14 May

Class on Monday was super fun and full of creative energy!

Our beading/jewelry making station is still seeing lots of action!  I love what these students are making!

Isn’t this narwhal amazing?!  I love that creative eye!img_6178

We are weaving up a storm.  This scarf is almost finished!  It will come off the loom next Monday.

The studio is always  a hive of creative energy.  Everyone choosing their own projects and bringing them to life!  For me, there is no better job to have or place to be!

Donation Workshop

12 May

Once a month Let’s Go Crafting hosts a donation workshop.  Donation Workshop days are free and students join us to make something that benefits a charitable organization.  This month we made cat beds for the animal shelter in Palo Alto.img_6153

This month’s team of fantastic students!!

We used old towels (most of them were donated by our community) to make the beds.

The kids cut the towels and sewed them and then stuffed the outside channel to make them more comfortable for the cats.

We had soooo much fun!!

Some of our students even made two beds!!  Thank you to everyone who donated and who came to sew!!!
